About the role
As an Account Executive for Client Strategy working remotely from South Africa, you will be responsible for closing new business opportunities and managing the sales process for strategic client accounts across the UK and international markets. You will work closely with our London sales team to convert qualified leads into clients and ensure the successful onboarding of clients and their initial success.
Day-to-day, you'll manage the sales process for qualified leads, conduct client presentations and demonstrations, negotiate contracts and commercial terms, and coordinate with internal teams to ensure smooth client onboarding. This role leverages the excellent relationship-building skills and strategic thinking capabilities of South African professionals.
Working pattern and flexibility
This is a mid-level role available as full-time, fully remote from South Africa. You'll work closely with our London headquarters team through structured communication and regular video calls. Core collaboration hours align with South African mornings (UK afternoons) for optimal team interaction. Time tracking software is required for security and progress monitoring.
Leadership trajectory
This is a growth-oriented role with a clear path to Senior Account Executive and sales leadership positions. You'll start by managing individual client accounts, with the opportunity to progress to managing larger accounts and leading sales initiatives within 18-24 months based on performance. Exceptional performers will have opportunities for UK visa sponsorship and potential relocation to our London office.
What you will be doing
Manage the complete sales process for qualified leads from initial contact to contract signature.
Conduct client presentations, product demonstrations, and strategic consultations.
Negotiate contract terms, pricing, and commercial agreements with prospective clients.
Collaborate with internal teams to develop customised proposals and solutions.
Manage client expectations and ensure smooth transition from sales to delivery teams.
Track sales pipeline and provide accurate forecasting and reporting.
Contribute to the development of sales strategies and process improvement initiatives.
Maintain relationships with prospects and clients throughout the sales cycle.
What you will bring
University degree with 2-4 years of experience in sales, account management, or related roles.
Proven track record in B2B sales and client relationship management.
Excellent English communication and presentation skills suitable for senior UK stakeholders.
Strong negotiation and commercial discussion capabilities.
Experience with sales processes, CRM systems, and pipeline management.
Right to work in South Africa with a reliable high-speed internet connection.
Strategic thinking ability and interest in client strategy and business development.

Compensation and progression
Base salary: R45,000 to R55,000 per month (full-time).
Currency options: Choose to be paid in ZAR, USD, GBP, or a combination.
Performance bonuses: Significant commission potential based on closed deals (available after 6-month probation).

30-60-90 day expectations
Day 30 – Complete onboarding, understand sales process, begin managing qualified leads.

Day 90 – Consistently close deals and contribute to sales team success.

6-month probation period with monthly performance reviews and clear success metrics.
Performance thresholds: Must achieve sales targets to progress beyond probation.
