About the role
As an Account Executive for New Business working remotely from South Africa, you will be responsible for identifying, developing, and closing new business opportunities across the UK and international markets. You will focus on prospecting new clients, building relationships with potential customers, and driving revenue growth through strategic new business development.
Day to day, you'll be identifying new business opportunities, conducting outbound prospecting activities, managing the complete sales cycle for new prospects, and working with internal teams to develop winning proposals and solutions. This role requires strong business development skills and entrepreneurial thinking.
Working pattern and flexibility
This is a mid-level role available as full-time, fully remote from South Africa. You'll work closely with our London headquarters team through structured communication and regular video calls. Core collaboration hours align with South African mornings (UK afternoons) for optimal team interaction. Time tracking software is required for security and progress monitoring.
Leadership trajectory
This is a growth-oriented role with opportunities to advance to Senior Account Executive or business development leadership positions. You'll start by managing individual new business development, with the chance to progress to managing larger territories and leading business development initiatives within 18-24 months based on performance. Exceptional performers will have opportunities for UK visa sponsorship.
What you will be doing
Identify and research new business opportunities across target markets and industries.
Conduct outbound prospecting activities including cold calling, email outreach, and networking.
Manage the complete sales cycle from initial contact to contract signature for new prospects.
Develop and deliver compelling presentations and proposals to prospective clients.
Build relationships with key decision-makers and influencers in target organisations.
Collaborate with internal teams to develop customised solutions for new business opportunities.
Track new business pipeline and provide accurate forecasting and reporting.
Contribute to the development of new business strategies and market expansion initiatives.
What you will bring
University degree with 2-4 years of experience in new business development, sales, or related roles.
Proven track record in prospecting, lead generation, and new business acquisition.
Excellent English communication and business development skills suitable for UK markets.
Strong prospecting and relationship-building capabilities.
Experience with business development processes, CRM systems, and pipeline management.
Right to work in South Africa with a reliable high-speed internet connection.
Entrepreneurial mindset and ability to identify and develop new opportunities.

Compensation and progression
Base salary: R45,000 to R55,000 per month (full-time).
Currency options: Choose to be paid in ZAR, USD, GBP, or a combination.
New business commission: Significant commission potential based on new business closed (available after 6-month probation).

Equity: Meaningful equity participation for high performers (considered after 12 months).

30-60-90 day expectations
Day 30 – Complete onboarding, understand the new business process, and begin prospecting activities.
Day 60 – Successfully develop new business pipeline and demonstrate prospecting capabilities.
Day 90 – Consistently generate new business opportunities and close new deals.
Probation and performance framework
6-month probation period with monthly performance reviews and clear success metrics.
Performance thresholds: Must achieve new business development targets to progress beyond probation.

Equipment policy: Company equipment must be returned if employment ends during the probationary period.
