About the role
As a Client Strategy Lead for Key Accounts working remotely from South Africa, you will manage strategic relationships and develop comprehensive strategies for our most important client accounts. You will be responsible for driving performance and growth for key accounts, managing complex client relationships, and ensuring exceptional client success outcomes.
Day to day, you'll be managing key account relationships, developing account-specific strategies, leading account performance optimisation, and coordinating with internal teams to deliver exceptional results for our most valuable clients. This role requires strong relationship management skills and strategic expertise.
Working pattern and flexibility
This is a senior role available as full-time, fully remote from South Africa. You'll work closely with our London headquarters team through structured communication and regular video calls. Core collaboration hours align with South African mornings (UK afternoons) for optimal team interaction. Time tracking software is required for security and progress monitoring.
Leadership trajectory
This is a senior role with opportunities to advance to Client Strategy Partner or Principal-level positions. You'll manage key account portfolios and may lead account strategy teams. Exceptional performers will have opportunities for UK visa sponsorship and potential relocation to our London office.
What you will be doing
Manage strategic relationships with key client accounts and senior stakeholders.
Develop comprehensive account strategies and growth plans for key clients.
Lead account performance optimisation and strategic improvement initiatives.
Coordinate cross-functional teams to deliver exceptional key account results.
Monitor key account performance and identify strategic growth opportunities.
Lead key account reviews and strategic planning sessions.
Represent GoGorilla in senior-level key account discussions and strategic meetings.
Contribute to key account management best practices and methodologies.
What you will bring
University degree with 3-5 years of experience in key account management, client strategy, or related roles.
Proven track record managing high-value, complex client relationships.
Excellent English communication and relationship management skills for senior stakeholders.
Strong strategic thinking and account management capabilities.
Experience with key account management methodologies and client success frameworks.
Right to work in South Africa with a reliable high-speed internet connection.
Senior relationship management experience and ability to work with complex accounts.

Compensation and progression
Base salary: R50,000 to R60,000 per month (full-time).
Currency options: Choose to be paid in ZAR, USD, GBP, or a combination.

30-60-90 day expectations
Day 30 – Complete onboarding, understand key account portfolio, develop account strategies.

Day 90 – Consistently drive key account success and lead strategic account initiatives.
Probation and performance framework
6-month probation period with monthly performance reviews and clear success metrics.
Performance thresholds: Must achieve key account management targets to progress beyond probation.
