About the role


As a Founder Partnerships Associate working remotely from South Africa, you will support the development and management of partnerships with startup founders and scale-up companies across the UK and international markets. You will work closely with our London partnerships team to identify, engage, and support founder-led companies that can benefit from GoGorilla's performance marketing platform.


Day to day, you'll be researching potential founder partners, supporting partnership development processes, managing founder onboarding and success programmes, and providing ongoing support to ensure founder success. This role leverages the excellent relationship-building skills and entrepreneurial understanding of South African professionals.


Working pattern and flexibility


This is primarily an in-office role in central London. Expect 4 to 5 days a week in the office during your first three months whilst you learn our platform, build the playbook and meet targets. Once established, and with manager approval, high performers can earn flexibility to work from home up to two days a week. Time tracking is standard company policy for any work completed outside our office environment - this industry-standard practice is implemented across our entire organisation from executive team to interns, ensuring security, progress monitoring, and transparent performance measurement.


Leadership trajectory


We're hiring with rapid progression in mind. As results justify expansion, you'll hire and lead associates, coordinate UK-based partnerships, and shape our investor relations strategy. High performers typically see leadership opportunities within 6-12 months, with clear progression from Associate to Lead to Principal as you build the function.

What you will be doing
  • Research and identify potential founder partners across the UK and international startup ecosystems.

  • Support founder partnership development and onboarding processes.

  • Manage founder success programmes and ongoing relationship management.

  • Coordinate with internal teams to ensure founder partner success and satisfaction.

  • Track founder partnership performance metrics and identify opportunities for growth.

  • Contribute to founder partnership strategy development and process improvement.

  • Support founder events and community-building initiatives.

  • Maintain founder partnership documentation and reporting systems.


What you will bring
  • University degree in Business, Marketing, or related field with interest in startups and

    entrepreneurship.

  • Excellent English communication and relationship-building skills suitable for founder

    interactions.

  • Strong analytical and project management capabilities.

  • Interest in startup ecosystems and founder-led businesses.

  • Right to work in South Africa with a reliable high-speed internet connection.

  • Cultural adaptability and a genuine interest in working with UK startup culture.

  • Entrepreneurial mindset with strong organisational skills.

Compensation and progression
  • Base salary: R35,000 to R40,000 per month (full-time).

  • Currency options: Choose to be paid in ZAR, USD, GBP, or a combination.

  • Performance bonuses: Significant alliance success bonuses (available after 6-month probation).

  • Company profit-sharing: Participation in overall company success (eligible after probation).

  • Equity: Meaningful equity participation for high performers (considered after 12 months).

  • Benefits: Full benefits package after 6-month probation period.

  • UK visa opportunity: Outstanding performers eligible for sponsorship (after 18 months minimum).

  • Progression: Clear path to Partnership Manager within 18-24 months based on performance.

30-60-90 day expectations
  • Day 30 – Complete onboarding, understand founder ecosystems, and begin partner research activities.

  • Day 60 – Successfully support the first founder onboarding and demonstrate ecosystem knowledge.

  • Day 90 – Consistently manage founder relationships and contribute to partnership growth initiatives.


Probation and performance framework
  • 6-month probation period with monthly performance reviews and clear success metrics.

  • Performance thresholds: Must achieve founder partnership development targets to progress beyond probation.

  • Benefits eligibility: Full benefits package is available after successful completion of probation.

  • Equipment policy: Company equipment must be returned if employment ends during the probationary period.
