About the role


As a Client Strategy Lead - Key Accounts, you will be responsible for leading the strategic direction for our most important clients. You will work at the highest level with C-suite executives to develop and execute growth strategies that drive significant business impact. This is a senior strategic role that requires deep expertise in business strategy, digital marketing, and executive relationship management.


Day-to-day, you'll be leading strategic planning sessions, developing comprehensive growth strategies, managing relationships with senior executives, and ensuring exceptional delivery across all client touchpoints. This role requires outstanding strategic thinking, leadership skills, and the ability to influence at the highest levels.


Working pattern and flexibility


This is a senior role with a high degree of flexibility. You can choose to work from our central London office, adopt a hybrid approach, or work fully remotely from anywhere in the UK. We trust you to manage your own time and deliver against your objectives. Time tracking is required for remote work to ensure security and progress monitoring, which is an industry-standard practice.


Leadership development


You'll build and manage a high-performing team focused on key account management and client success. This role offers significant opportunities to develop strategic planning and execution skills while mentoring junior and mid-level team members. You'll contribute to departmental strategy and process development, with clear progression opportunities to Principal and senior leadership roles within 18-24 months. This position offers substantial equity participation and provides a foundation for advancement to Head of Client Success as the company expands.

What you will be doing
  • Lead strategic planning and execution for our most important client accounts.

  • Work directly with C-suite executives to develop comprehensive growth strategies.

  • Manage and mentor junior members of the client strategy team.

  • Drive strategic initiatives that deliver significant business impact for clients.

  • Lead complex strategic reviews and planning sessions.

  • Represent GoGorilla at senior industry events and networking opportunities.

  • Contribute to thought leadership and the development of our strategic frameworks.

  • Ensure exceptional delivery and client satisfaction across all touchpoints.


What you will bring
  • Extensive experience in a senior strategic role, such as management consulting, strategy director, or head of growth.

  • Proven track record of working with C-suite executives and driving strategic initiatives.

  • Deep understanding of business strategy, digital marketing, and growth challenges.

  • Exceptional communication, presentation, and influencing skills.

  • Leadership experience with the ability to mentor and develop junior team members.

  • Right to work in the UK. We do not offer visa sponsorship.

  • A passion for strategic thinking and helping businesses achieve transformational growth.

Compensation and progression
  • Base salary: £65,000 to £80,000 (London), with adjustments for other UK locations (£60,000 to £75,000).

  • On-target performance bonus: Significant performance bonuses and success-sharing opportunities.

  • Company profit-sharing: Substantial participation in overall company success.

  • Equity: Meaningful equity participation is a core part of our compensation philosophy for high-performing team members, offering a stake in our long-term success.

  • Benefits: Private healthcare for full-time UK employees after 6 months probation, 25 days holiday plus bank holidays, laptop and modern tools, learning budget and regular team events.

  • Progression: Clear path to Head of Client Success within 18-24 months, with opportunities to shape the company's strategic direction.

30-60-90 day expectations
  • Day 30 – Complete onboarding, take ownership of key account relationships, and begin strategic planning initiatives.

  • Day 60 – Lead comprehensive strategic reviews for key clients and demonstrate clear strategic impact.

  • Day 90 – Consistently drive exceptional results for key accounts and contribute to strategic framework development.
