About the role


Our Student Intern programme is designed to provide ambitious students with real commercial experience while they study. You will be at the forefront of our sales process, responsible for creating personalised video outreach to key prospects. This is a unique opportunity to earn income alongside your degree, build valuable sales and marketing experience for your CV, and potentially secure a full-time role before graduation.


Day-to-day, you will be using our proprietary platform and AI-powered prompts to create and send high-impact, personalised SendSpark videos. You will also support the sales team by booking appointments, conducting follow-up calls, and adapting to wherever the business needs support. You'll need to be confident and mature on camera, as you'll be the first impression of GoGorilla.com for many potential clients.


Working pattern and flexibility


This is a flexible, remote role designed to fit around your university schedule. The internship starts as a one-month programme, with the opportunity to extend for the duration of your degree based on performance. You can work part-time during term time (minimum 10 hours per week) with the option for more intensive full-time work during university holidays. You'll submit your schedule at least two weeks in advance so we can plan workloads and assign tasks accordingly. Time tracking is required for all work to ensure security and progress monitoring, which is a standard industry practice.

What you will be doing
  • Drive prospect engagement and book qualified discovery calls by creating tailored SendSpark videos with our AI-powered platform.

  • Book appointments for our London-based team by following up on enquiries and outbound campaign responses.

  • Reach out to potential clients via LinkedIn when they don't respond to our initial video and email outreach

  • Conduct client onboarding calls and support new client setup processes.

  • Assist with operational tasks across sales, partnerships, and client success departments.

  • Adapt to business needs and take on sales-related tasks as required.

  • Learn from experienced professionals and contribute to real business outcomes.

  • Build a professional network and gain valuable commercial experience.

  • Develop skills in communication, sales, and business operations.

  • Work on projects that directly impact company growth and client success.

  • Communicate your availability proactively, updating us as soon as your university timetable changes to ensure effective workload planning.


What you will bring
  • Current university student with strong academic performance.

  • Active LinkedIn profile with at least 50 connections.

  • Excellent communication skills with confidence and maturity in both video and phone calls with professionals.

  • Confidence on camera and an engaging presentation style.

  • A suitable working environment for making business calls (we provide company Zoom backgrounds, so you don't need to worry about your background).

  • Adaptability and willingness to take on varied tasks as business needs change.

  • Strong work ethic and ability to work independently.

  • Right to work in the UK. We do not offer visa sponsorship.

  • Passion for business, sales, or marketing and desire to build commercial skills.


You should not apply if
  • You cannot commit to a minimum of 10 hours per week during term time.

  • You do not have an active LinkedIn profile with at least 50 connections.

  • You are not comfortable using your personal LinkedIn profile for occasional professional outreach.

  • You are uncomfortable with outbound sales calls and client-facing responsibilities.

  • You prefer purely academic or research-based work over commercial activities.

  • You are not adaptable and prefer clearly defined, unchanging responsibilities.

Compensation and progression
  • Hourly rate: £12-15 per hour (adjusted based on UK location and experience).

  • Performance bonuses: Additional rewards for exceptional appointment generation and client support.

  • Progression: Clear path to full-time graduate role for high performers, potentially before degree completion.

  • Benefits: Flexible working, professional development, networking opportunities, and potential for permanent employment.

30-60-90 day expectations
  • Day 30 – subject to you progressing beyond the one-month trial period, completing onboarding, mastering our video outreach playbook, and beginning to create and send your first personalised Sendspark campaigns.

  • Day 60 – subject to you progressing beyond the one-month trial period, consistently delivering appointment targets and demonstrating proficiency in client communications and video/phone calls.

  • Day 90 – subject to you progressing beyond the one-month trial period, exceeding performance expectations, potentially supporting training new interns, and demonstrating readiness for increased responsibilities.
