About GoGorilla
GoGorilla.com is the world's first performance marketing company built on a FinTech platform™. We've engineered a platform that hardwires client objectives into every campaign, ensuring transparent, auditable results that traditional agencies can't match. When our clients win, you win. We're an investor-backed company growing fast, and you'll join a high-performance team where your commercial impact directly shapes your career trajectory and financial rewards.
About the role
Our Student Caller programme gives ambitious students real commercial experience alongside their degree, paid properly from day one. You'll be on the front line of our sales engine: short, structured phone sessions booking meetings with UK companies that are actively hiring. Everything is prepared for you (the list, the reason to call, the script); you simply log in and dial. Sales is the one skill every career rewards, and every member of our commercial team starts here.
You'll spend your sessions speaking with founders and leaders of ambitious companies, many of them venture capital and private equity backed, and hear how they grow from the inside. Most student jobs show you one company in one narrow role; this one shows you inside hundreds.
This is a genuine earn-alongside-your-degree role: you're paid for every session including training, you choose your own sessions each week around your timetable, and there's a clear, numbers-based ladder all the way to campus leadership and full-time roles.
Working pattern and flexibility
Fully remote (UK), designed around university life. Work happens in 90-minute calling sessions (09:30, 11:15, 14:00 or 15:45 UK time). Each Sunday you simply tick the sessions you want the following week; most students do three to six. Exam season? Skip weeks entirely; pausing is never penalised. There is no minimum-hours commitment, no schedule submitted weeks in advance, and no screen tracking: your booked sessions and call activity are your record. Optional London office days if you're nearby. The programme starts as a four-week internship and continues through the rest of your degree for those who want it. Starting in summer? Ideal: university holidays are the easiest time to train and stack extra sessions (go full-time if you like), then carry it into term. Postgraduate students (Masters and PhD) are just as welcome as undergraduates.
Leadership trajectory
This role is deliberately just the starting point. Sales is how every GoGorilla career begins, because it's the skill that powers all the others; prove yourself here and doors open right across the company: marketing, operations, client management, closing deals, and leadership. On the calling ladder itself, every promotion trigger is a number you can see, with no politics: CALLER (certified) → SENIOR CALLER (+£1/hr, permanent, at 12 meetings held and 8 active weeks) → POD LEAD (a bonus on every meeting your team books) → UNI REP (own recruiting at your campus, higher referral bonuses, first pick of what comes next). After graduation: full-time roles in our London office or remote, or the fully flexible own-time track: commission only, your own hours, still paid through payroll so you never touch a tax return.
Your competitive advantage as a graduate
While other students compete for graduate jobs after university, you could graduate with proven commercial experience, professional references, a real network, and potentially a role already secured at GoGorilla. Practical sales ability is the skill employers consistently say graduates lack; you'll have receipts.
What you will be doing
Running 90-minute phone sessions from our Rep Console: the queue, the reason to call and the script are pre-loaded; you dial and book meetings for our London-based closing team.
Choosing your sessions each week with a one-tap poll, and checking in and out of sessions with one tap. That's the entire admin.
Starting with two paid training sessions: systems and compliance first, then live calls with a coach listening in.
Optional extras (always your choice, never required): handling warm replies on your company work number outside sessions for commission; the LinkedIn Partner Track for strong profiles; referring coursemates (£50 each).
Building a sales skillset that compounds into every career you might choose.
What you will bring
Current university student, ideally in your first or second year so the role can grow with you across your whole degree (final years and postgraduates welcome; recent graduates should apply to our Graduate Scheme instead).
A confident, warm phone manner. You'll show us in a 60-second voice task; no CV needed to start.
Reliability: sessions you book are sessions you show up for.
A quiet room, a laptop, an iPhone (for your company work number) and a stable internet connection.
An active LinkedIn profile (50+ connections; 500+ with ID verification unlocks our LinkedIn Partner Track and additional commission).
Right to work in the UK (18 or over; student-visa weekly hour caps fully respected; we do not offer visa sponsorship).
You should not apply if
You're uncomfortable making outbound business calls; this role is live, human phone work.
You can't protect a quiet space for a 90-minute session.
You want fixed, unchanging admin work rather than sales.
You've already graduated; our Graduate Scheme is the right door for you.
How we work
Outcomes first: meetings held is the metric; wins are celebrated on the team wins wall and weekly leaderboard.
Autonomy with accountability: you choose your sessions each week; when you're in one, you're fully in it.
Everything prepared: our operations team loads your queue and script; you never build lists or write copy.
Coaching that compounds: every call is reviewed by our AI coaching system; you receive a personal digest each week, with a live coach in your early sessions.
Real progression: numeric triggers, published rates, no politics.
Compensation and progression
Pay: £12.71 per hour (the 21+ National Living Wage rate, paid to every age on the programme), paid per session, monthly through payroll. PAYE: we handle all tax, with rolled-up holiday pay itemised on every payslip.
Paid from day one, including both training sessions. No unpaid trials, ever.
Commission from your first meeting that goes ahead: £15 each for meetings 1 to 3 in a month, £25 each for meetings 4 to 7, £35 each for 8 or more, paid monthly.
What that adds up to: a typical certified caller doing 3 sessions a week with 4 to 6 meetings a month effectively earns £17 to £20 per hour all-in; top performers clear £24. (Illustration, not a guarantee: commission is only ever paid per meeting that goes ahead.)
Bonuses: £50 quarterly consistency bonus (active all three months with 6 or more meetings held), and £50 per referred coursemate who passes training.
Progression: Senior Caller +£1/hr (permanent) → Pod Lead override → Uni Rep campus ownership → full-time London or remote roles after graduation, or the commission-only own-time track through payroll.
